About the David Livingstone safari Lodge and Spa

The Victoria Falls offers an inescapable closeness to the natural elements and it is this true grandeur that lends a backdrop to the regal David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa.
Constructed on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, this colonial styled structure has 72 well appointed rooms and 5 loft suites that accommodate a total of 154 guests in four star style. There are also 4 rooms that accommodate the disabled comfortably.
A state of the art conference centre ( separate to the hotel ), tropical swimming pool, restaurant and bar ensures that all the guests needs are taken care of.

The lodge offers visitors a restaurant, bar and conference facilities that are suitable to cater for large groups, with a variety of safari excursions and activities in and around the falls. The Lady Livingstone, a 144 seater river cruiser comprising of 3 decks, enables guests to experience Africa in a unique style on the Zambezi River.

All rooms face the river and most rooms look out over the Zambezi, views of which can be enjoyed from your private balcony, morning coffee or evening sundowner in hand of course!

Dining:

Kalai Restaurant

This restaurant is situated at the main lodge and promises contemporary cuisine in a traditional Livingstone-styled restaurant setting. Here, guests can enjoy succulent Afro-Arabian fusion dishes for breakfast (06h30 – 10h30) and dinner (18h30 – 22h00).
The chefs can cater for most dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan.

Gwembe Terrace

The deck area downstairs is situated on the Zambezi River and around the pool. This is a casual meeting place, where guests can sit back, relax and watch the magnificent African sunset while sipping on cocktails and tucking into the local, Livingstone restaurant offerings.

Ujiji bar

Guests are invited to enjoy a wide selection of South African and international wines, as well as choose from a variety of unique cocktails created by our skilled bar butlers.

The Lady Livingstone

The David Livingstone Safari Lodge has its own river boat, The Lady Livingstone. The cruiser departs daily from its jetty in front of the lodge for a cruise along the Zambezi River. All drinks and snacks are included the cost of the cruise. The boat can accommodate up to 144 people on three levels and can also be hired privately for special functions.
The boat is open to guests outside of the David Livingstone hotel so it is advisable to pre book. Speak to your Southern Routes consultant to pre book it.


Conference Venue:

The state-of-the-art world renowned conference venue, The Victoria Falls Conference Centre, at maximum capacity can accommodate 200 people in banquet set up. 138 Guests can be accommodated in convention style seating while 250 people can be seated comfortably in cinema style.
