Is there any better way to enjoy game viewing than cruising down the river, cold drink in hand, with animals and birdlife all around you? An amazing four-night journey.

Experience two of Southern Africa’s most iconic destinations in one unforgettable journey.
Spend two nights at the elegant David Livingstone Safari Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River 20 minutes from Victoria Falls, before heading to the wildlife-rich Chobe River for two relaxing nights aboard the luxurious Chobe Princess houseboat.
Enjoy superb game viewing, river cruises, spectacular sunsets and exceptional comfort throughout your stay.

Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The roar of the water as it plunges into the deep gorge below is deafening, while clouds of mist can be seen from over 30 km away, giving it its local name, Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders.” Enjoy two nights here staying at the David Livingstone Safari Lodge.

Then spend two unforgettable nights on safari along the Chobe River. The river is famous for its abundant birdlife, elephants wading across the channels to the islands to graze and bathe, and its many hippos, which float lazily in the water during the day before emerging at dusk to graze along the riverbanks.

Enjoy sunset drinks while cruising the waterways in one of the smaller tender boats, watching wildlife gather at the water’s edge to drink as the sun sets over the river.

Spend 2 nights at the Chobe Princess Houseboat

From the deck of the houseboat you can often watch elephants swimming between islands and hippos surfacing quietly beside the boat.

Day 01

Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall. You will then be transferred to your hotel, about 30 mins away. If landing in Victoria Falls, this will include a border crossing at the bridge.
2 nights at David Livingstone Safari Lodge

Day 02

After breakfast, choose from one or two of the many adventure activities available. The Lady Livingstone riverboat is moored at the lodge and is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in the evening enjoying a sundowner cruise along the mighty Zambezi River. This offers a different perspective from what you will experience later on the Chobe Princess. Keep your camera ready for the ever-present hippos, wildlife along the riverbank and of course the spectacular sunset over the river.

Day 03 + 04

This morning, you will be transferred to Kazungula, the border post between Zimbabwe and Botswana, where you will complete the border formalities and cross into Botswana.
You may be required to change vehicles at the border, so keep your baggage easy to carry. You will need to move it approximately 150 metres yourself. Tip: keep your footwear accessible in plastic bags, as Botswana requires shoe soles to be disinfected on arrival.

From the Kazungula border you will then be transferred onto Kasane border post on the Chobe River, catch a tender boat across to Nambia and the Impalila Island border post. Once that is complete the Tender boat will ferry you across to the Houseboat where you will be met with a refreshing drink!
Chobe Princess Houseboat offers 2 and 3 night cruises. It moors in the late afternoon for the evening but the tenderboats will take you out 2 or 3 times a day for game viewing. There is plenty to see from the deck of the Houseboat!

Day 05

After breakfast, you will be transported back to Victoria Falls via Impalila island; Kasane; and Kazungulu border posts, for your flight back to Johannesburg.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ITINERARY CAN BE AMENDED TO SUIT YOUR REQUIREMENTS. IF YOU WISH TO CHANGE LODGES, LET US KNOW AND WE WILL QUOTE ACCORDINGLY.
